In 1933, the Zarges brothers founded Europe's first light-metal construction company. Thanks to innovative technologies and growing experience in the field of aluminum, ZARGES GmbH is today one of the leading companies in the fields of climbing equipment, packaging, transport and storage, as well as custom constructions. ZARGES’ diverse product range includes well-designed packaging and transport solutions, as well as a wide variety of ladders, mobile scaffolds, work platforms, access platforms, crossovers, and stairs made of lightweight metal and plastic. ZARGES products are used in industry, trade and service companies, skilled trades, households, and gardens.

All products – from the Eurobox to telescopic ladders – impress with high stability, low weight, corrosion resistance, and flexibility. ZARGES is part of the ZARGESTUBESCA Group, headquartered in Weilheim, Upper Bavaria. Through the intelligent use of aluminum, ZARGES ladders meet the highest standards and have been winning over customers for 81 years. ZARGES Leichtmetallbau was founded in Stuttgart in 1933 and focused its production on aluminum as the primary material. In 1938, ZARGES became the first company in Germany and Europe to mass-produce ladders and already employed 100 workers. In 1951, the company received its 100th patent – the ZARGES folding box – which solved a major logistical challenge for rail freight after the war.

Some dimensions of the foldable ZARGES box remain industry standards to this day. When empty, the box can be folded down to one-sixth of its original size and, thanks to its lightweight design, is an ideal transport aid. In 1954, the first German-Austrian expedition to the Himalayas began with ZARGES boxes and ladders. Extreme climbers quickly recognized the value of high quality, low weight, and easy transport. The company currently employs more than 1,600 people and has a global customer base. Whether multifunction ladders, aluminum ladders, extension ladders, or telescopic ladders – for nearly 100 years, ZARGES has impressed with its lightweight, high-quality design philosophy.
