Notice regarding the disposal of used batteries

The following notice is addressed to those who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and do not resell them in the form in which they were delivered (end users):

1. Free return of used batteries

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obligated to return used batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can drop off used batteries at a local collection point or at a retail location. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obligated to take back used batteries. However, our obligation to take back used batteries is limited to the type of batteries that we offer or have offered as new batteries in our product range. You can either return batteries of the aforementioned type to us with sufficient postage or drop them off free of charge at our shipping warehouse at the following address:

Carl-Arnold Brill GmbH
Twentestr. 7
48527 Nordhorn
Germany

2. Meaning of Battery Symbols

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash bin (see below). This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium, or more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, the chemical designation of the respective hazardous substance is located beneath the trash bin symbol. "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb" stands for lead, and "Hg" stands for mercury.
