GENERAL EXPLANATIONS ON THE WARRANTY
OUR SUPPLIER WARRANTS THE WORKMANSHIP, QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE OF OUR PRODUCTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
In this statement, we are referring to the terms "manufacturer's warranty", "guarantee" and any further variation of these terms. In the following we use the word "manufacturer's warranty".
Likewise, this explanation refers to all warranties that exceed the legal requirements, regardless of how long the manufacturer's warranty is advertised.
You will find the manufacturer's warranties in our long descriptions as well as on pictures of our articles.
These warranty conditions are valid for Germany. For other countries special conditions apply.
Within the scope of the manufacturer's warranty from the 4th to the 10th year our supplier takes over all spare parts free of charge. For the execution of the guarantee work at the dealer, end customer or in the factory the working time is charged, plus the expenditure for travel times. These will be charged with € 98,- flat rate for travel and € 59,50 per hour of work. Excluded from the manufacturer's warranty are wear parts such as cover materials, foam parts (integral foams), upholstery, castors, surfaces of frames / bases.
The manufacturer's warranty does not cover: a) Modifications and damage caused by use that is not in accordance with the intended purpose of the product. Furthermore, damage caused by improper handling is not included in the warranty, nor is damage caused by environmental influences that are not usual (extreme climatic conditions, acid, wetness, etc.), b) damage caused by maintenance or repair work or other interventions by customers themselves or third parties, c) damage caused in connection with deviations from series production requested by customers or when materials provided by customers have been used. Only the statutory warranty liability applies to these products, d) damage occurring during transport (here we refer to our General Terms and Conditions).
The warranty periods apply to normal industrial use, i.e. 8 hours/day for 220 working days per year. In case of multi-shift operation or 24-hour/day use throughout the year, the warranty period will be reduced accordingly.
The warranty period will not be restarted or inhibited if warranty service is provided.
In case of complaints, we urgently request the following information: Description of damage or defect, model name, model number, AB number, delivery bill or invoice receipt if applicable. This information about the models can be identified on each product by a label on the bottom of the article. Without these data a complaint processing can be rejected by our supplier. The complaint processing is even faster and easier if you send us a picture and/or a short video together with the above mentioned data. Quality is an essential part of our company philosophy. The application of the quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, the application of the environmental management according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2009 as well as the EMAS III regulation (EG 1221:2009) and the standard for occupational health and safety BS OSHAS 18001:2007 vouch for the comprehensive quality and sustainability. ESAB Warranty
ESAB products are backed by one of the most comprehensive warranty programs in the industry. The warranty covers material or manufacturing defects and includes replacement parts and labor. In the event of a defect due to such a fault, ESAB will cover the cost of replacement parts and provide a reasonable time for the exchange of the defective product.
Warranty repairs are exclusively carried out by ESAB or authorized service partners. ESAB has a network of authorized service centers that provide the most extensive geographical coverage in Europe. These service centers are responsible for the repair, maintenance, and calibration of ESAB equipment.
It is important to note that the warranty does not apply to issues caused by improper use, normal wear and tear, failure to comply with the instructions in the manual, transport or storage damage, fires, or damages caused by natural events such as floods or lightning strikes. The warranty also becomes void if repairs are performed with unauthorized parts without written authorization from ESAB or if maintenance instructions are not followed.
Wear and tear parts such as gas nozzles, wire guides, wire feed rollers, contact tips, adapters, filters, welding shields, hoses, welding leads, cable assemblies, and other consumables are excluded from the warranty unless it can be proven that the defect is due to a material or manufacturing fault.
For welding helmets, the warranty claim is void if signs of impact or damage are found on the electronic cassette.
The ESAB warranty for welding consumables guarantees that they are free from material and manufacturing defects and comply with ESAB's published product specifications. The warranty is valid for 12 months from the date of shipment, provided that the products have been stored and maintained according to ESAB storage guidelines. However, the warranty does not cover defects arising from the choice of welding consumables or the welding work itself, as these are solely the responsibility of the purchaser and may affect the performance of the product.
For detailed information and conditions regarding the ESAB warranty, please contact your ESAB dealer or an authorized service partner. You can also find more information on the ESAB website.
