MACO manufactures building hardware at three sites in Austria and distributes them to more than 40 countries worldwide, including 15 with their own subsidiaries. Every MACO-designed part undergoes an initial sample inspection in Salzburg. Functionally important components or assemblies are also qualified for long-term standard performance testing. Purchased parts are randomly inspected as well. Additional internal MACO inspection departments are integrated into the production facilities.
Production technologies are continuously developed and adapted to customer needs. MACO not only manufactures all tools in-house, but also designs and builds most systems and assembly lines to meet current and future MACO requirements. This consolidates company expertise and guarantees short distances and response times. Surface treatment, providing maximum corrosion protection, is one of the company’s core technologies. MACO uses seven surface procedures in its own production, from anodizing and powder coating to TRICOAT-PLUS surface finishing. This unique surface process offers significantly better corrosion protection than electroplated coatings. Continuous refinement of these technologies also impacts plastic processing at MACO. In collaboration with external partners, the company researches and develops new materials and processes to meet future demands. Potential applications are simulated in advance and part geometries are optimized using software. In the field of injection molding technology, MACO is a leader in Austria.
