Abrasive mop disc von von KLINGSPOR
The globally active family business can look back on a long history. As early as 1893, J. F. Klingspor founded his company in Siegen, North Rhine-Westphalia. With many progressive ideas, Klingspor AG has significantly shaped the history of modern grinding. The flap disc is just one of many abrasives developed and brought to market by the company.
In addition to traditional sandpapers and flap discs, the company also offers diamond tools, carbide burrs, as well as cutting and grinding discs. One of the innovations that helped Klingspor become a market leader was the first waterproof sandpaper. Thanks to this new feature, the sandpaper could be used for additional tasks. Another innovation was the now-famous Kronenflex cutting disc, introduced in 1950. In 1978, the company’s success led to the opening of its first non-European subsidiary in the USA, thus entering the global market.
Klingspor is committed to consistently delivering high performance at competitive prices and is therefore well known among professionals and DIYers alike. In addition to high-quality products, Klingspor emphasizes maximum user safety and environmentally friendly processes. The company is one of the founding members of the Organization for the Safety of Abrasives. Members are committed to complying with European safety standards and stricter production and testing guidelines for abrasives. This results in increased safety for users. The wide and deep product range offers the right abrasive for every task—often in multiple versions. Regardless of the material to be processed, Klingspor offers solutions from coarse to fine. Whether cutting, grinding, or finishing, Klingspor abrasives are high-performing for any application. High-speed grinding tools are manufactured in accordance with oSa guidelines and European safety standard EN 12413. One example is grinding discs for angle grinders. Today, Klingspor offers more than 50,000 items. Every day, 110,000 abrasive discs and 350,000 cutting and grinding discs are produced. Nearly 3,000 employees now work for Klingspor worldwide.
